No había ni gota de agua en el lugar , ni comida pero lo más increíble ningun excremento pues eso es lo único que comían.

Es gab keinen Tropfen Wasser an diesem Ort , kein Futter aber das Unglaublichste auch keine Excremente denn das war das Einzige was sie frassen.
There was not one drop of water in this place, no food, and it is not incredible that all they were eating was excrement.

El trato a los animales es indignante y precario, pero esto no aparece en los catálogos de las agencias de viajes.

Entre todos podemos lograrlo , ésto es un problema social y la solución no la tenemos las Protectoras Animales de la Isla.

The treatment of animals is outrageous and precarious, but this does not appear in the catalogues of travel agencies.

SABADO - GUARDERIA

Ayer fue un dia con muchos voluntarios. Todos disfrutamos de un día soleado y de la mejor compañía- nuestros animales.
Gestern war ein Tag mit vielen freiwilligen Helfern.Alle genossen wir den sonnigen Tag und die beste Begleitung- unsere Tiere.
Yesterday was a day with a lot of volunteers. All enjoyed a day with sun and the best company you can have... our animals.

También recibimos la visita de DITA , una de las perritas que fue rescatada de la finca de Arucas. Junto a su dueño Nauzet.

Estás hermosa Dita , que suerte has tenido.

DITA kam uns besuchen; sie ist eine der Hunde die wir in Arucas gerettet haben. Hier zusammen mit ihrem Eigentümer Nauzet.

As well we became a visit from DITA, one of the dogs who got saved from the finca of Arucas.
Here you can see her together with her owner Nauzet. You look beautiful Dita, you were lucky.

ADA disfruta del agua que aun nos queda en el barranco. Ella ya lleva 3 años con nosotros y todavía espera su oportunidad de irse a un hogar.
ADA geniesst das Wasser ,dass uns noch in der Schlucht bleibt. Sie lebt schon 3 Jahre bei uns und wartet immer noch darauf ein liebevolles Heim zu finden.
ADA enjoying the water, what still is left in the barranco. She now is already 3 years with us and is still waiting to go to a new home.

Nauka y Neron se lo pasaron bomba jugando, como todos nuestros perritos y es que cada día nos esforzamos para que el tiempo que estemos con ellos sea un día ameno y divertido.

NAUKA und NERON tobten sich spielend richtig aus, wie alle unsere Hunde und jeden Tag strengen wir uns mehr und mehr an damit die Zeit die wir mit ihnen zusammen sind lustig und vergnügt ist.
Nauka and Neron had a great time playing in the garden, like all our dogs and every day we go there to spend time with them, so they have an enjoyable day and fun.

Jueves, dia de guardería

Hoy Manolo (nuestro entrenador personal de perros) se ocupo cariñosamente de TAURO, que todavia esta miedoso. Tauro camina muy bien con correa y es obediente. Es un perro bueno y inteligente que entiende enseguida lo que se espera de el. Seguramente el miedo que tiene se ira pronto cuando el conocera mejor su entorno y sus nuevos amigos.
Heute kümmerte sich Manolo (unser Hundetrainer) liebevoll um Tauro, der immer noch etwas ängstlich ist. Tauro läuft super an der Leine und pariert sehr gut. Er ist ein lieber und schlauer Hund, der sehr schnell kapiert, was von ihm verlangt wird. Sicher wird sich seine Angst bald geben, wenn er sich an die neue Umgebung und an seine neuen Freunde gewöhnt hat.
Manolo (our dog-trainer) took lovely care of Tauro today, who still is a little bit afraid. Tauro walks super on the leash and parry very good. He is sweet and smart dog, who understand very quickly what we want from him. For sure his fear will go away, ones he is used to the new environment and his new friends.


Petra le dio un paseo largo a la podenca GUAPA porque le gusta mas pasear que estar en el jardin con los demas podencos para jugar.

Tambien nuestros cachorros estan grandes y esperan con ansiedad que alguien les adopte. Ellos miren con mucha curiosidad desde el jardin a los otros perros que son sacados a pasear.

Petra hat wie immer einen langen Ausflug mit der Podencohündin Guapa gemacht, die viel lieber spazieren geht, als mit den anderen Podencos im Garten zu toben.
Auch unsere Welpen sind nun schon groß genug und können es kaum erwarten, endlich adoptiert zu werden. Neugierig schauen Sie vom Garten aus den Hunden zu, die zum Spazieren gehen ausgeführt werden.

Petra had as always a long walk with the Podenco Guapa, who prefer to go for a walk then play with the other podencos in the garden. As well our puppy`s are already big and they can not wait to be adopted. Curious they are watching from out the garden, how the other dogs go out for their walk and come back.

SARA y TAURO en el jardin,junto a Renèe que reparte mimitos a los dos.
Sara und Tauro im Garten, zusammen mit Renée, die Steicheleinheiten an beide verteilt.
Sara and Tauro in the garden, together with Renée who divides her attention between the both of them.

Hace muy poco dias que LEO esta con nosotros y el disfruta de su nueva vida. De vez en cuando mira extrañado porque quizas no se puede creer el milagro que le ha sucedido. Parece increible pero su antiguo dueño lo mantuvo encerrado durante años en una caja pequeña.Cuando se nos aviso y se denuncio el dueño lo llevo a la perrera para sacrificarlo. Pero la testarudez de nuestra compañera Janette le salvo la vida a Leo. Ello lo busco en todas las perreras de la isla hasta encontrarlo. Ahora esperemos que sea adoptado muy pronto porque es un perro muy bueno, cariñoso y sociable. El se merece una familia y un hogar cariñoso.
Leo ist erst seit einigen Tagen bei uns und er genießt sein neues Leben. Ab und zu schaut er etwas verwirrt, und kann wohl selbst kaum fassen, was für ein Wunder ihn widerfahren ist.
Unglaublich, denn sein letzter Besitzer hielt den armen Kerl in einer Kiste jahrelang (!). Als unsere Tierschützer darauf aufmerksam gemacht wurden, schob sein Besitzer in einfach zum sterben in eine Tötungsstation ab. Doch die Hartnäckigkeit unserer Tierschützerin Janette rettete Leo das Leben! Denn sie suchte nach ihn, in allen Perreras der Insel, bis sie ihn schließlich gefunden hatte. Nun hoffen wir, dass Leo bald adoptiert wird, denn er ist wirklich ein sehr lieber Hund, der eine tierliebe Familie und ein gemütliches Heim verdient hat.
Leo came a few day`s ago with us and is enjoying his new life. Now and then he looks a little confused, and can probably even believe the miracle that happened to him. Unbelievable that his last owner kept this boy in a box for years! When our volunteer confronted the owner for this, he put the dog in a dog-pound to die. But the tenacity of our volunteer Janette saved the life of Leo. She went looking for him in all the dog-pounds on the island, until she found him. We hope now that Leo will soon adopted, because he really is a lovely dog, who deserves to have a loving family and a nice home.

Y por desgracia se nos han devuelto uno de los perros adoptados en ANAHI.

NALA ( antes LILY) fue adoptado de cachorro y ahora de casi mayor nos lo devuelven.

No ha recibido educacion porque no sabe ir con correo y no obedece las ordenes. Es que todavia se comporta como un cachorro.Pero seguro con nuestra ayuda NALA aprendera ser un buen perro.
Und leider haben wir auch wieder einen adoptierten Hund zurückbekommen.
NALA (vorher LILY) wurde seinerzeit als Welpe adoptiert und nun fast ausgewachsen zurückgebracht.
Sie hat anscheinend nicht viel Erziehung bekommen, denn sie muss erst noch lernen, an der Leine zu laufen und auf Kommandos zu hören. Sie benimmt sich eben immer noch wie ein Welpe. Aber sicher wird NALA bald gelernt haben, wie sich ein lieber Hund verhält.
And again we became back an adopted dog. NALA (before named LILY) got adopted a while ago when she was a puppy, and now that she has grown they brought her back. It seems like that she did not get that much education, she still has a lot to learn, to walk on the leash and listen to commands. She still behaves like a puppy. But for sure Nala will learn soon to behave like a nice dog.


Pasa demasiadas veces que las personas se lleven un perro sin pensar todo lo que conlleva esto.

Antes de la adquisicion hay que hacerse algunas preguntas:

1. De cuanto tiempo dispongo para el perro?

2. Cuantos gastos me esperan ( veterinario , comida..)?

3. Como soluciono mis salidas de vacaciones?

4. Quien se ocupa del perro en casa de una enfermedad mia?

5. Esta permitida la tenencia de un animal en mi casa?

6. Que perro me conviene?

Has pensado que un perro tiene, segun la caracteristica de su raza , una esperanza de vida de 15 años y mas?

Estas dispuesto de tomar la responsabilidad de tanto tiempo para tu perro?

Si no estas dispuesto ,con todas las consecuencias hasta el ultimo minuto de su vida, acompañar a tu perro ,entonces sea tan franco y renuncia a tener uno.

Recuerda por favor que vas a tener mucha responsabilidad para con tu perro.

Si lo mantienes en las condiciones adecuadas y le proporcionas los cuidados necesitados y los mimitos, el te lo va a agradecer con su cariño y lealtad hasta el final de sus dias!

Es kommt leider sehr oft vor, dass sich Menschen Tiere anschaffen ohne über die Folgen nachzudenken!

Vor der Anschaffung sollte mindestens darüber nachgedacht werden:

1. Wieviel Zeit habe ich für einen Hund?
2. Welche Kosten kommen auf mich zu (Tierarzt, Futter)?
3. Was machen ich, wenn ich in den Urlaub fahren will?
4. Wer kümmert sich um den Hund, wenn ich krank bin?
5. Ist die Hundehaltung in meiner Wohnung erlaubt?
6. Welcher Hund passt zu mir?

Ist Dir bewusst, dass ein Hund je nach Rasse eine Lebenserwartung bis 15 Jahre und mehr hat?
Bist Du bereit, so lange die Verantwortung für einen Hund zu übernehmen?
Wenn Du nicht bereit bist, mit allen Konsequenzen bis zur letzten Minute seines Lebens -Deinen Hund zu begleiten, dann sei bitte so fair und verzichte darauf, Dir einen Hund anzuschaffen!

Denke bitte daran, das Du eine große Verantwortung gegenüber Deinem Tier haben wirst.
Aber bei artgerechter Haltung und liebevoller Pflege, wird es Dir Dein Hund mit Liebe und Treue bis an sein Lebensende danken!


Unfortunately it still happens often that people buy or adopt animals without thinking of the consequences.

Before taking an animal should be at least thought about:

1. How much time do a have for a dog?
2. What will it cost me (vets., food)?
3. What will I do when I go on holiday?
4. Who will take care of my dog when I am sick?
5. Is it allowed to have a dog in my home?
6. Which dog is right for me?

Are you aware that a dog depending on the breed can have a life expectancy of 15 years and longer?
Are you willing to take that long the responsibility for a dog?
When you are not willing to take al those consequences until the last minute of the dogs life, please be fair and renounce yourself of taking a dog!

Please keep in mind that you have a big responsibility to your pet.
But with welfare-friendly food and loving care, your dog will thank you with love and loyalty until the end of his life.

NOTICIAS DE NELLY AHORA BAILEY / NEUIGKEITEN VON NELLY JETZT BAILEY

Hoy nos llegan estas fotos desde Alemania de nuestra Nelly que ahora se llama Bailey. Recordarán que ella fue sacada de la Perrera de Puerto Rico.

Su nueva familia nos cuenta que a ella no le gustó mucho la nieve pero que poco a poco se va acostumbrando.
Heute bekamen wir diese Bilder aus Deutschland von unserer Nelly die jetzt Bailey heisst.

Bestimmt erinnern sie sich daran, dass wir sie aus dem Tierheim in Puerto Rico rausgeholt haben.

Ihre neue Familie erzählt uns dass sie den Schnee nicht besonders mag aber dass sie sich langsam daran gewöhnt.
Today we received those pictures from Germany from our Nelly who now is called Bailey. Remember she was saved from the dog-pound in Puerto Rico.
Her new family is telling us that she does not really like the snow, but bit by bit she will get used to it.

Ya tiene una amiguita con la que jugar , es lista nuestra nelly, ha buscado una amiga que le pueda abrigar del frio .

Que están encantados con ella , ya que es muy cariñosa y muy simpática. Nos dan las gracias por haber salvado a ésta perrita tan encantadora, pero nosotros somos los que estamos agradecidos por haberla adoptado y ayudarnos a que podamos seguir salvando vidas.

Yo tuve la suerte de tenerla en casa hasta que marchó a su nuevo hogar y con su ida se llevó un pedazito de mi corazon. Suerte Nelly ( mi pin-pon ) se que estás en buenas manos.

Sie hat schon eine Freundin zum Spielen, unsere Nelly ist schlau sie hat sich eine Freundin gesucht die sie bei Kälte schützen kann.

Alle erfreuen sich an ihr, denn sie ist anhänglich und sehr sympatisch. Sie danken uns dass wir dieses liebe Hündchen gerettet haben aber wir sind es doch die wir uns bedanken weil sie sie adoptiert haben und uns so halfen dass wir noch weitere Leben retten können.

Ich hatte das Glück sie bei mir zu Hause zu haben bis sie abflog und mit ihrem Weggang nahm sie ein Stück meines Herzens mit. Viel Glück Nelly ( meine Pin-Pon) ich weiss,dass du dich in guten Händen befindest.

She already has a friend to play with, our Nelly is smart, because she found a friend who can protect her for the cold.
They are very happy with her, she is very loving and sympathetic. They are thanking us for saving this lovely dog, but we are thanking them for adopting her and helping us for saving more lives. I was lucky to have her in my home until she went to her new home and with her leaving she took a part of my heart. Good luck Nelly (my pin-pon) I know you are in good hands.

Martes, Dia de Guarderia

Despues de un largo fin de semana nuestros perros no ven llegar la hora para salir a pasear.

Neron fue el primero para disfrutar un paseo largo y ameno con Werner.

A la derecha vemos a Sasha y Enzo tomando un baño en el rio, originado por la lluvia y el desbordamiento de la presa, antes de que se seque.
Wie immer nach dem langen Wochenende, können unsere Hunde das Spazierengehen kaum erwarten.
Neron war der Erste, der seinen langen und ausgiebigen Spaziergang mit Werner genoss.
Rechts sind Sasha und Enzo die noch schnell ein Bad nehmen, bevor das Flüsschen, das noch vom Hochwasser stammt, bald verschwunden ist.
As always after the long weekend, our dogs are waiting for their walk. Neron was the first one, who was enjoying his long walk with Werner. On the picture on the left you can see Sascha and Enzo, quickly taking a bath from the river which is left over from the heavy rain, before it will be all gone again.


Davinia con Chico, que es algo timido pero muy cariñoso, junto a Romy con Robby disfrutando un paseo larguisimo.

Ayagaures es ,como se aprecia a la derecha,un barranco de excurciones para muchos turistas. Algunos de ellos encuentran tambien el camino hacia nuestra guarderia. Como Birgit que nos honra de nuevo con su visita.
Davinia mit Chicho, der wie immer etwas schüchtern, aber sehr verschmust mit Romy und Robby zusammen ihren langen Ausflug genießen.
Ayagaures ist wie man Rechts sieht, ein beliebtes Ausflugstal vieler Touristen. Einige von Ihnen finden auch immer wieder den Weg zu uns. Wie Birgit, die mal wieder zu Gast ist.
Davinia with Chicho, who as always is a little bit shy, but very pleased and enjoying the long walk together with Romy and Robby.
Ayagaures is for many tourists a favourite place to go as you can see on the picture on the right. Some of those tourists find always the way to us, like Birgit, who again is a guest with us.


Hoy Sara pudo recorrer el campo sin correa. Y se porto muy bien.A cada rato volvia atras para ver donde se quedaba el lento "bipedo". Ademas Sara pudo observar los otros perros paseando por la calle. Sara es una perra excelente, ademas muy inteligente y docil.
Heute durfte sich Sara ohne Leine im Gelände austoben. Und sie hat sich ganz prima verhalten. Sie kam immer wieder zurück, um zu schauen, wo der langsame Zweibeiner bleibt. Nebenbei konnte Sara auch ihre Artgenossen auf der Straße beim Spaziergang beobachten. Sara ist ein sehr ausgezeichneter Hund, der nebenbei noch sehr intelligent und gelehrig ist.
Today Sara was allowed to run a round without a leash in the area. And she behaved very well. She always came back, to see where the slow 2 leg friend remains. A little bit more up on the mountain Sara was able to observe her fellows down on the street. Sara is an excellent dog, who also is very intelligent and docile.

DE SENDEROS CON OLIVER Y LEA / AUF WANDERWEGEN MIT OLIVER UND LEA

Este fin de semana le ha tocado a LEA salir por nuestros montes. Oliver se la llevó a casa el Sabado y el Domingo le tenía preparado esta sorpresita.

An diesem Wochenende war LEA an der Reihe unsere Bergwelt zu erforschen. Oliver nahm sie am Samstag mit zu sich nachhause und für Sonntag hatte er eine Überraschung für sie vorbereitet.
This weekend it was LEA`S turn to go to the mountains. Oliver took her on Saturday home and on Sunday he prepared this surprise for her.



Corrió , nadó , jugó y lo que es más importante se portó muy muy bien , siempre obedeciéndo a nuestro compañero Oliver.
La semana pasada fue Fenny ( y se adoptó) quien sabe si nuestro querido Oliver tiene una varita mágica que perrito que toca perrito que se adopta. OJALA¡¡¡ LEA ya lleva mucho tiempo con nosotros y se lo merece.

Rennen, schwimmen,spielen und vor allen Dingen gut betragen immer unserem Kollegen Oliver folgend,dass war sie!!

Vergangene Woche war es Fenny (und sie wurde adoptiert),wer weiss ob unsere lieber Oliver nicht irgendeinen Zauberstab hat : Hündchen dass er berührt , Hündchen wird adoptiert! HOFFENTLICH auch bei LEA,denn sie ist schon sehr lange bei uns und hätte es echt verdient .
Running, swimming, playing and more important she behaved very very well, following always our colleague Oliver.
Last week it was Fenny who went into the mountains (and she got adopted), who knows if our lovely Oliver has some magic, the dog he touched is getting adopted.... HOPEFULLY!! LEA is already a long time with us and she deserves to get adopted!

LEA que es un poco chismosilla nos ha contado que sus compañeros de guardería están muertos de la envidia, y que ya están todos preparados con su mejores caritas de pena para el próximo día que venga Oliver y realize el casting. ¿ Quien será el próximo ?

LEA etwas redselig hat uns erzählt dass ihre Mitbewohner im Tierheimfast gelb vor Neid sind und dass sie sich alle vorbereiten ,mit den traurigsten Gesichtern, für den nächsten Tag an dem Oliver sein Casting macht. Wer wird der Nächste sein??
