LA HISTORIA DE BLONDI - THE HISTORY OF BLONDI - BLONDIS GESCHICHTE

Hoy por la tarde recibimos una llamada de un señor que nos llamo desde el pueblo el Horno, municipio de Mogan. El comento que desde un par de dias estaba alredor de su casa ( y mas vecinos) un perrito tipi Yorkshire pero algo mas grande con heridas y infectados. Pero ya hoy ( o ayer) fue atropellado por un coche. Que el pobre no pudo levantarse y que estaba muy mal! Asi fuimos por el y lo encontramos cerca de una escalera en la calle. Parecia que estaba muy mal por el aspecto que tenia y ni se movia ni hablandole.
Today in the afternoon we received a call from a man who was calling from the village el Horno, municipality of Mogan. He was telling that since a few days a dog, Yorkshire type but a bit more big, with wounds and infections, appeared around his house (and more neighbours). And today (or yesterday) he got hit by a car. The poor thing could not get up any more and was in a real bad state! So we went for him and we found him close to some stairs on the street. It seemed that he was really in a bad state, because he did not move or talk (bark).
Heute Nachmittag erhielten wir einen Anruf eines Mannes aus dem Ort Horno in der Gemeinde Mogan. Er teilte uns mit, dass seit einigen Tagen ein Hund, der einem Yorkshire ähnlich ist, aber grösser, mit Wunden und Infektionen, bei ihm und seiner Nachbarschaft herumläuft. Heute (oder gestern) wurde er von einem Auto angefahren. Das arme Tier konnte nicht mehr aufstehen und war in einem jämmerlichen Zustand! Also fuhren wir hin und fanden ihn nahe einer Treppe an der Strasse. Ihm schien es wirklich schlecht zu gehen, denn er bewegte sich nicht und gab keinen Ton von sich.


Una vez en el coche y llegando al veterinario estaba algo mas animado!
Onces he was in the car and arriving to the veterinarian he was a little bit more animated!
Einmal im Auto und beim Tierarzt angekommen wurde er etwas lebhafter!
Despues de aguantar muchas pruebas, radiografias y todo sin quejarse... encontramos el microchip ! El perrito se llama Blondi, tiene unos 4 años...y fue "regalado" a un señor en Vecindario.
After standing a lot of tests, x-rates and all this without complaining..... we found a microchip! The dog is called Blondi, he is about 4 years old..... and he was "given away" to a man in Vecindario.
Alle Tests und Röntgenaufnahmen ließ er ohne Klagen über sich ergehen…. dann fand man den Mikrochip! Der Hund heißt Blondi, ist ungefähr 4 Jahre alt…. und wurde an einen Mann in Vecindario „verschenkt“.
Blondi tiene su cadera roto, varios heridas por el cuerpo.. y no tiene ninguna sensibilidad en uno de sus patas detras. (es possible por el golpe (aunque la cadera esta roto por el otro lado) o por un golpe anterior). Ahora esta en una casa de acogida donde mas que llegar bebia todo el agua que lo pusieron. El lunes de la semana que viene sera intervenido su cadera y mientras tanto tenemos un calmante para darselo estos dias.
The hip of Blondi is broken, he has several wounds on his body.... and he has no sensibility in one of his rear legs ( this might be possible from a kick, although the hip is broken on the other site, or maybe from an older kick). Now he is in a foster home, where he by his arrival was drinking all the water they have put for him. Next Monday he will be operated on his hip and in the meanwhile we have painkillers to give him.
Die Hüfte Blondis ist gebrochen, er hat mehrere Wunden am Körper…. und hat in einem seiner Hinterläufe kein Gefühl (möglicherweise von einem Tritt, denn die Hüfte ist auf der anderen Seite gebrochen, oder von einem früheren Schlag). Jetzt ist er in einer Pflegestelle, wo er gleich alles Wasser, das er bekam, trank. Nächsten Montag wird er an der Hüfte operiert und bekommt bis dahin Schmerzmittel.

TOM nos miro asi de culpable cuando entramos este mañana! Mas porque ADA estaba encantada con este camita blandita! Pero todo que se puede morder...es irresistible para TOM!
TOM was looking guilty like this when we came in this morning! More because ADA was so happy with her soft bed! But everything what you can bite.... is irresistible for TOM!
TOM schaute uns heute Morgen so schuldbewusst an! Besonders, weil ADA so glücklich mit ihrem neuen weichen Bett war! Aber alles was zerbissen werden kann…. ist für TOM unwiderstehlich!

In der Zwischenzeit ging Angela mit den beiden spazieren…. das Bett sah so aus!!!

BRACO FUE INTERVENIDO DE UN TUMOR - BRACO GOT OPERATED OF A TUMOUR - BRACO WURDE TUMOR ENTFERNT

BRACO tenia como una peq. herida en el pecho que el sabado pasado parecia ya el doble de tamaño. El mismo dia entro en quirofano por ser un tumor que suele crecer muy deprisa y puede ser maligno.(Mastocitoma)
BRACO had like a small wound on his chest and last Saturday it seemed that is had doubled the size. The same day he got operated because it was a tumour that grows very fast and can be evil (mastectomy).
BRACO hatte eine kleine Wunde an seiner Brust und letzten Samstag schien sie doppelt so groß. Er wurde am gleichen Tag operiert, denn es handelte sich um einen Tumor, der sehr schnell wächst und bösartig sein kann (Mastektomie).

Ayer ( Lunes) pudimos recogerlo y el esta bastante animado! Aunque hoy otravez hubo mucho calor , el todavia tenia animo para invitarnos de jugar.
Yesterday (Monday) we could pick him up and he was really animated! Although it was very hot again today, he still was very animated to invite us to play.
Am gestrigen Montag holten wir ihn wieder ab und er war schon wieder quicklebendig. Obwohl es heute wieder heiß war, wollte er mit uns spielen.

El tumor esta mandado para anilizar y ahora esperar. Ojala no hay algo que no se puede curar. El puede irse a Alemania...pero claro primero tenemos que saber los resultados del tumor!
The tumour got send out for analysing, so now we have to wait for the results. Hopefully it`s nothing we can not cure. He can go to Germany..... but of course first we have to know the results of the tumour.!
Der Tumor wurde zur Analyse eingeschickt und nun müssen wir aufs Ergebnis warten. Hoffentlich ist es nichts, was nicht behandelt werden kann. Er kann nach Deutschland reisen…. aber erst einmal müssen wir das Resultat kennen!

VISITA DE - VISITS FROM - BESUCH VON: PILI - MILI - LULU - NEMI

MILI tiene unos 3 meses ahora y recibi su primera vacuna. Es una hembrita de tamaño pequeña a mediana.
MILI is more or less 3 months old and received her first vaccination. She probably is going to be a small to mid-size dog.
MILI ist ungefähr 3 Monate alt und bekam ihre erste Impfung. Sie wird vermutlich ein mittelgroßer Hund.

Su hermana PILI, tambien hembrita. Ellos dos todavia buscan un hogar. Las dos estan en una casa de acogida.
The same her sister PILI. Both of them are still looking for a definitive home. Now they are in a foster home.
Auch ihre Schwester PILI. Beide sind derzeit in einer Pflegestelle und suchen ein festes Zuhause.




LULU, tambien hembrita de unos 3 meses. Es una perrita muy alegre y adulta seria tambien de tamaño mediana.
LULU, also a girl from about 3 months old. She is a very happy dog and she as well will be a small to mid-size dog ones she has grown up.
LULU ist ebenfalls cirka 3 Monate alt. Sie ist ein fröhlicher Hund und wird auch ein kleiner bis mittelgroßer Hund werden, wenn sie ausgewachsen ist.




NEMI, ya casi 4 meses . Tambien ella esta en una casa de acogida, pero esta reservada. Pronto puede irse a su nueva casa.
NEMI is almost 4 months old. She is also in a foster home and is reserved. Soon she can go to her new home.
NEMI ist knapp 4 Monate alt. Sie ist in einer Pflegestelle und bereits reserviert. Bald kann sie zu ihrem neuen Zuhause reisen.

LELA ESTA EN "CASA" ! - LELA IS BACK "HOME"! - LELA WIEDER „ZU HAUSE“!

LELA ha vuelta a casa! Esta muy bien y se alegro mucho cuando volvimos. Se esta recuperando muy bien. Nuestro veterinario nos aviso de intentar de bajar peso , consejos de mantenerla todavia con reposo. Asi no jugar, no correr y llevarla de cortos paseos pero que sea piso llano.
LELA is back home! She is very good and was very happy when we came back. She is recovering very well. Our veterinarian is advising us to try to get her weight down and she still has to be in repose. So no playing, no running and take her out for short walks but on a flat floor.
LELA ist wieder da! Ihr geht es gut und war glücklich wieder zurück zu sein. Sie erholt sich sehr gut. Unser Tierarzt gab uns den Rat, dass sie Gewicht verlieren muss und weiterhin Ruhe braucht. Also kein spielen und rennen, aber kurze Spaziergänge auf ebener Fläche sind möglich.

Aunque parece un poco triste en la foto...ella esta encantada con sus mantitas en el suelo.
Although it seems that she is a bit sad on the picture..... she is very happy with her blankets on the floor.
Auch wenn sie auf dem Foto traurig aussieht…. das Bett aus Decken gefällt ihr.

caminando se ve que no usas 100% todavia su patita, pero seguro dentro de poco puede caminar como antes.
When she is walking you can see that she still is not using her leg 100%, but for sure soon she can walk like before.
Wenn sie läuft, belastet sie das Bein noch nicht zu 100%, aber bald kann sie sicherlich wie vorher laufen.

Hoy nos sorprendemos con este cruel cartel puesto en la zona del muelle deportivo de Las Palmas.
Today we got surprised with this cruel poster put up in the marina area of Las Palmas.
Heute wurden wir von dem unbarmherzigen Schild am Yachthafen von Las Palmas überrascht.

En esta zona los pobres gatos tienen de un lado el mar, pero un mar fuerte con grandes olas, y del otro lado la autopista, la Avenida Marítima con todo el tráfico de la ciudad. Los gatos no pueden salir ni marcharse hacia ningun lado pues sería la muerte segura.

Hay personas generosas que ponen comida diariamente a estos pobres animales. Muchos de ellos están castrados.

Y ahora el Ayuntamiento pone este cartel prohibiendo alimentar a los gatos ¿Que esperan que hagan los gatos cuando no tengan comida? Hacia el mar no van a ir, pero cuando esten desesperados de hambre intentarán cruzar la autopista.

¿Esta es la forma cruel e inhumana que tiene el Ayuntamiento de solucionar el problema?
In this area the poor cats have on one side the sea, a strong sea with big waves, and on the other side the highway, la Avenida Marítima with all the traffic of the city. The cats can not get out of there because for sure they will not survive this.
There are some generous people who feed those poor animals everyday. Most of those cats are castrated.
And now the city-council has put this poster with forbidden to feed the cats. What are they thinking that the cats will do when they have no food any more? Into the sea they will not go, but when they are starving to dead they will try to cross the highway.
Is this the cruel and inhumane way from the City Council to solve the problem?
In diesem Bereich haben die ausgesetzten Tiere auf der einen Seite die raue See mit hohen Wellen und auf der anderen die Schnellstrasse Avenida Maritima mit dem hohen Verkehrsaufkommen einer Stadt. Die Tiere können dort nicht weg ohne ihr Leben zu riskieren.
Großzügige Menschen füttern täglich diese armen Katzen, von denen die meisten kastriert sind.
Jetzt hat das Rathaus Schilder mit dem Fütterungsverbot angebracht. Was meinen die was passiert, wenn es kein Futter mehr gibt? Ins Meer geht nicht, also müssen sie versuchen über die Schnellstrasse zu laufen, um nicht zu verhungern.
Ist das die grausame und unmenschliche Art des Rathauses, das Problem zu lösen?

Those 7 Dachshunds made their entrance in the dog-pound of Mogan. The oldest one is 12 years old! She is in the first picture and is called ELSA.
Diese 7 Dackel kamen ins Tierheim von Mogan. Die mit 12 Jahren älteste ist Elsa (s. Foto oben).

LELA: OPERADA - OPERATED - OPERIERT

Lela ya esta operada a su rodilla y este tarde fuimos para recogerla.
Lela got today operated on her knee and this afternoon we went to pick her up.
Heute wurde LELA an ihrem Knie operiert und nachmittags holten wir sie wieder ab.

Asi de " groggy " estaba todavia y antes de irnos recibi un calmante para no tener dolor.
When we came she was still "groggy" like this and before we left she received a painkiller.
Als wir kamen, war sie noch groggy und bekam vor der Heimreise ein Schmerzmittel.

Son mas de 40 kilos de peso...pero conseguimos de tumbarla en el coche.
She weights more than 40 kilos.... but we managed to get her in the car.
Sie wiegt mehr als 40 Kilo…… aber wir schafften es, sie ins Auto zu tragen.

El veterinario aprovecho tambien la operación para quitar varios bultos, todos formados de grasa.
The veterinarian took advantage of the operation to take away some bumps as well, all formed by fat.
Der Tierarzt nutzte die Gelegenheit und entfernte auch gleich einige Fettbeulen.
Hasta el jueves estara en una casa de acogida de un voluntaria para cuidarla. Ahora necesita medicación 2 veces al dia por 10 dias y esperemos de encontrar otra casa de acogida para este tiempo.
Until Thursday she will be in a foster home of one volunteer to take care of her. But because she needs medication 2 times a day for 10 days, we hope that we are able to find another foster home for her during this time.
Bis Donnerstag kann sie erst einmal zur Pflege bei einer Freiwilligen bleiben. Aber weil sie die nächsten 10 Tage zweimal täglich Medikamente verabreicht haben muss, hoffen wir für diese Zeit eine andere Pflegestelle zu finden.

LIMA SE OPERO HOY - LIMA GOT OPERATED TODAY - LIMA WURDE HEUTE OPERIERT

La primera vez cuando fuimos hacer fotos en la Perrera de Santa Brigida de LIMA nos dimos cuenta de un bulto enorme en su barriga. A los pocos dias la llevamos de ahi por el miedo de que no tenia muchos mas dias de vida ahi. Los analisis salieron no tan agradables; era positivo en Ana Plasma( enfermedad trasmitido por las garrapatas) y tambien positivo en Filaria.
The first time when we went to take pictures of LIMA in the dog-pound of Santa Brigida we saw a big bump on her belly. A few days later we took her out because we were afraid that she wouldn`t have much more days left over there. The analysis came out not so nice, she was positive in Anaplasmosis (disease transmitted by ticks) and she was also Heart-worm positive.
Als wir das erste Mal LIMA im Tierheim Santa Brigida fotografierten, bemerkten wir die große Beule am Bauch. Wenige Tage später holten wir sie dort heraus, denn wir befürchteten, dass sie dort nicht mehr lange leben würde. Die Untersuchungsergebnisse waren nicht schön: Sie war positiv auf Anaplasma (ein durch Zecken übertragenes Bakterium) und auch Herzwurm.
Asi estaba un mes con antibiotikas para la Ana Plasma y lo mas importante ahora era de operar este bulto. Tenia pequeños tumores en dos mamas y ademas una hernia inguinal y durante la misma operación fue esterilizada.
So for month she was with antibiotics for the Anaplasmosis and the most important thing now was to operate her on this bump. She had small tumors in both breasts and also an inguinal hernia and during the same operation she got sterilized.
Gegen Anaplasma bekam sie einen Monat lang Antibiotika und das wichtigste war jetzt die OP am Bauch. Sie hatte kleine Tumore an beiden Milchleisten und einen Leistenbruch. Gleichzeitig wurde sie auch sterilisiert.

Ya paso todo y esta ahora descansando de la intervención, tiene puesto un calmante para el dolor y estamos seguro que dentro de poco esta otravez como siempre!
Now it is al over and she is resting from the surgery, she has a pain reliever and we are sure that soon she will be the old one again.
Jetzt ist es vorbei und sie ruht sich erst mal aus. Sie bekommt Schmerzmittel und wir sind sicher, dass sie bald wieder die alte sein wird.
Una vez recuperada ya es hora de tratar la Filaria que tiene.
Ones she is recovered from this she will be treated for the heart-worm.
Sobald sie sich davon erholt hat, beginnt die Behandlung auf Herzwurm.
