On Tuesday afternoon we received an e-mail with the word URGENT..... results that a Mr. with Swedish nationality but living in Denmark is on holiday here on the island. The night before 2 dogs entranced in his garden. He was really worried and asking around in the neighbourhood if those dogs belong to somebody...... but no and they all explained to him that for sure they where abandoned. Both where full of ticks and fleas.
Dienstagnachmittag erhielten wir eine E-Mail mit dem Wort DRINGEND…. abgeschickt von einem Mann mit Schwedischer Nationalität, der jedoch in Dänemark lebt und seinen Urlaub auf unserer Insel verbringt. In der Nacht zuvor kamen 2 Hunde in seinen Garten. Er war sehr besorgt und fragte in der Nachbarschaft, ob sie wissen, wem die Tiere gehören….. aber ohne Ergebnis. Alle erklärten ihm, dass sie mit Sicherheit herrenlos sind. Beide waren voller Zecken und Flöhe.
El mismo martes paso por una farmacia cerca para comprar el frontline despues de quitar miles de garapatas.
The same Tuesday the went to a pharmacy to buy frontline after he already had been taken out thousands of ticks.
Am gleichen Dienstag ging er in eine Apotheke und kaufte Frontline, nachdem er bereits tausende Zecken entfernt hatte.
El tenia la vuelta a casa para el miercoles de la mañana y buscaba ayuda para alojar a estos dos perritos, para no dejarlos otravez abandonados. El prometi de pagar todos sus gastos y volver dentro de un mes para llevarselos a Dinamarca para darles una vida ahi con el.
Asi desde ayer BELLA y BRUTUS ( nombres eligido por el) estan en nuestro Albergue. Hoy pasaron por el veterinario para ponerles las vacunas y el chip.
A Bella salio su test de filaria positivo y ya esta en tratamiento para curarla de este enfermedad.
On Wednesday he had to go back to his country and he was searching for help to give a roof to these 2 dogs and not to leave them again abandoned. He promised to pay for all their expenses and to come back in a month to take them home to Denmark to give them a live over there.
So for this since yesterday BELLA and BRUTUS (names chosen by him) are at our shelter. Today they went to the veterinarian to give them vaccinations and a chip.
The heart-worm test of Bella came out positive and is now already in treatment to cure this disease.
Am Mittwoch musste er in seine Heimat zurückfliegen und suchte Hilfe, damit die beiden Hunde ein Dach überm Kopf haben und nicht wieder auf der Strasse landen. Er versprach, für die Kosten aufzukommen und in einem Monat zurückzukehren, um sie nach Dänemark zu holen und dort zu leben.
Daher sind BELLA und BRUTUS (die Namen sind von ihm) in unserem Heim. Heute brachten wir sie für Impfungen und Mikrochip zum Tierarzt. BELLAs Herzwurmtest fiel positiv aus und sie wird bereits behandelt, um diese Krankheit zu heilen.
