Empezamos el dia 2 de Diciembre con la adopción de COCKI. Retirado de la perrera de Puerto Rico y adoptado por una familia holandesa. Pasará medio año en Holanda y medio año en Maspalomas. ¡ Que suerte Cocky!

Cocky, der Glückliche, aus dem Tierheim von Pto Rico und adoptiert von einer holändischen Familie.
We start on the 2dn of December with the adoption of COCKI. He came out of the dog-pound of Puerto Rico and got adopted by a Dutch family. The live for one part of the year in Holland and the other part in Maspalomas. You`re very lucky Cocky!!

RIMPI, abandonado siendo cachorrito con sus 2 hermanos en medio del campo a pleno sol. Sus hermanos ya están adoptados. El estuvo en una casa de acogida durante 6 meses y finalmente fué adoptado en la isla el dia 7 de Diciembre.
RIMPI, abandoned when he was only a puppy together with his 2 brothers in the middle of nowhere in the heath of the sun. His brothers are already adopted. He stayed in a foster home for 6 months and finally he got adopted in the south of the island on the 7th of December.

RIMPI, ausgesetzt zusammen mit seinen Brüdern unter der brennenden SOnne mitten auf dem Land. Er war 6 Monate in einer Pflegestelle und hier auf der Insel adoptiert am 7ten Dezember.

ENZO, tambien estuvo cuidado mucho tiempo en una casa de acogida en la isla, desde que era un cachorrito y lo encontraron abandonado en la calle.
ENZO, as well taking care of a long time in a foster home on the island, since he was a puppy and found abandoned on the street.

ENZO, als Welpen auf der Strasse ausgesetzt und war in einer Pflegestelle.

ROBI, despues de pasar por muchos dueños, y muchas situaciones, acabó atado debajo de unos bloques viviendo en una situación desastrosa. ¡ Pero esa vida ya acabó, Robi !
ROBI, afther he had a lot of owners, and a lot of situations, he finished tied up under some flats in a disastrous situation. But this live is finished, Robi!!

ROBI, nachdem er durch viele Hände und Situationen ging, wurde er am Ende in unmöglichen Verhältnissen unter ein paar Wohnungen angbunden gehalten. Aber damit ist nun Schluss!

JOPIE, muy jovencito, tambien fué encontrado vagando por Playa del Ingles sin ninguna identificación.
JOPIE, still very young, as well was found while he was wandering in Playa del Inglés without any identification.

KAZAN, encontrado con collar en el sur de la isla. Fué imposible encontrar a su dueño.
KAZAN, found in the south of the island with a collar on his neck. It was impossible to find his owner.

KAZAN, mit Halsband im Süden gefunden, aber kein Herrchen reklamierte ihn.

OSCAR, cuando llegó descubrimos un perrito precioso detras de una montaña de pelos sucios.
OSCAR, when he came in we found a precious dog behind a mountain of dirty hair.

OSKAR, als er kam mussten wir ihn unter Bergen von verdrecktem Fell "herrausschneiden".

MARTA, toda simpatia y buen caracter. Se fué directamente a su familia en Alemania que la estaban esperando. Tambien retirada de la perrera de Puerto Rico.
MARTA, very sympathy girl with a great character. She went straight to her new family in Germany who were already waiting for her. As well she came from the dog-pound of Puerto Rico.

MARTA, super symphatisch und liebem Charakter, kam uas dem Tierheim von Pto Rico und flog direkt zu ihrer neuen Familie nach Deutschland.

POLITO, recogido en Sardina del Norte por una voluntaria, junto con sus hermanitos y su mama. El dia 21 de Diciembre se adoptó en la isla.
POLITO, taken in Sardina del Norte by a volunteer, together with his brothers and sisters and his mammy. On the 21st of December he got adopted on the island.

POLITO wurde in Sardina zusammen mit seiner Mama und Geschwistern von einer unserer Helferinnen gefunden. Am 21 Dezember wurde er hier auf der Insel adoptiert.

MILI, ella tuvo suerte, pues fué adoptada muy rapido en la isla. El dia de Navidad.
MILI, she was really lucky, she got adopted very fast on the island. On x-mas day.

PENQUI, la hermana de POLITO, tambien adoptada en la isla el día 30 de Diciembre, pero viajará frecuentemente a Alemania.

SALIDA AYA

AYA fue encontrada el año pasada alrededor de navidad cerca de la guardería y tenia mas o menos 3 meses. Michele se lo llevo a casa en acogida. Rosy (la hermana de Danny) estaba de vacaciones y se enamore con la pequeña Aya y ahora 1 año después ella salio a Alemania para ir a vivir con su nueva familia.
GRACIAS ROSY PARA ADOPTAR Y SUERTE AYA!!!
AYA was found last year close to the shelter around X-mas and was about 3 months old. Michele took her home for fostering. Rosy (sister of Danny) who was on holiday, fall in love with the small Aya and now one year later she left today to Germany to go live with her new family.
THANKS ROSY FOR ADOPTING AND GOOD LUCK AYA!!!!
AYA wurde letztes Jahr in der Nähe des Tierheims gefunden mit ca. 3 Monaten. Michelle nam sie mit und Rosy, Dannys Schwester war in sie vernarrt un djetzt, ein Jahr später reiste sie nach Deutschland mit ihrer neuen Familie.
Viel Glück und danke AYA adoptiert zu haben.

NUEVA ENTRADA Y ADOPCIÓN

LAI es un macho de unos 11 meses. Fue encontrado por MªJose hace un par de meses.
Lai tambien busca a una familia. El es muy alegre y cariñoso. Tiene todos sus vacunas y esta lista para ser adoptado!
LAI is a boy about 11 months old. He was found by MªJose a few months ago. Lai is also looking for a family. He is a very happy and loving boy and is having all his vaccinations and is ready to be adopted!
Lai ist ein Rüde von ca. 11 Monaten, er wurde vor ein paar Monaten von Mª Jose gefunden und sucht ein Zuhause. Er ist komplett geimpft, gechipt und ist eine fröhlicher und lieber Junge.


Walter y Raul volvieron hoy para adoptar y llevarse a PENQUI!!! Ellos viven parte del año en Playa del Ingles y otro parte en Alemania. Asi tambien Penqui va a ser un perro viajera. GRACIAS por adoptar y FELICIDADES PENQUI!

Hemos ido a hacer nuevas fotos a los perros que están en la perrera de Santa Brigida. Hay muchos perros nuevos que pueden ver en nuestra pagina web en el apartado "Perrera de Santa Brigida". Gracias a la intervención de Anahi se han adoptado mas de 30 perros.

Pero hay cuatro perros que llevan ahí mas de un año y nos da mucha pena ver como su caracter y su estado fisico va cambiando poco a poco.
But there are four dogs who are already there over one year and we feel very sad how their character and there physical state is changing bit by bit.

Este es ASIS, entró siendo casi un cachorrito y a pesar de lo bonito que es, ahi sigue esperando cada vez que alguien entra parece preguntar ¿Ya me toca a mi?
This is ASIS, came in as a puppy and although pretty, over there waiting and each time somebody comes thinking: Are you coming for me?
Dies ist ASIS, er kam als Welpe und so schön wie er ist, er wartet noch immer und scheint zu fragen: Bin ich jetzt dran?


Otro es OLIO. El siempre estaba en primera fila esperando su momento, llamando la atención, pero hemos visto que ahora se queda al final de la jaula sin ninguna esperanza de que se lo lleven. Ya ni lo intenta.
Another one is OLIO. He was always in the first line waiting for his moment, calling the attention, but now we have seen that he stays back in his cage without any hope that they will take him. He is not even trying any more.
UNd OLIO. Stets war er vorne um die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zu lenken, eine Chance zu haben. Jetzt hat er die Hoffnung verloren und bemüht er sich gar nicht mehr, er bleibt einfach hinten.


Esta es PINTI, una perrita muy timida, y la estancia prolongada en la perrera no le ha ayudado nada. Siempre está temerosa.
This is PINTI, a very shy female dog, and the extended stay at the dog-pound did not help her at all. She is always fearful.
Dies ist PINTI, eine ganz schüchterne Hündin, ihr langer Aufenthalt im Tierheim hilft ihr auch nicht. Sie hat immer Angst.


Y esta maraña de pelos sucios y nudos es ROMULO. Siempre lo vimos peludo y desgreñado, pero su aspecto se ha deteriorado considerablemente. Claro que esto lo arregla un buen pelado.
And this tangle of dirty hair and knots is ROMULO. We always saw him hairy and shaggy, but his aspect is deteriorated significantly. Of course a good haircut will change this.
UNd dieses Wollknäuel ist ROMULO. Wir haben ihn immer ungepflegt und verfilzt gesehen, aber in der letzten Zeit sieht er immer schlimmer aus. Er braucth nur eine Chance und einen vernünftigen Haarschnitt.

Despues de estar un par de dias sin poder salir de la casa por la nieve, Frank y Petra terminaron la rifa en Alemania.
Al final recaudaron un total de :633,66 € !!


Desde Canarias damos las gracias a FRESSNAPF, PETRA, FRANK , a todos estos empresas que regalaron los premios y a las personas que compraron !
(el dinero ya hemos recibido en nuestra cuenta en el banco)

After being closed into the home with no possibility leaving the house because of the snow, Fran and Petera finished the raffle in Germany.

At the end they raised a totoal of : 633,66 € !!

DIA DE GUARDERIA

La semana pasada recibimos otravez una llamada desde el aeropuerto. Este perita fue dejado ahi atada a la verja. Hoy paso por el veterinario para hacer su test de Filarias (y negativo!) y recibi tambien sus vacunas y microchip. Es una perra de alredor de 1 año de edad, muy buena y cariñosa y lo hemos llamada NATI! Parce mas grande en la foto, pero tiene unos 45 a 50 cm. de altura.
Last week we received again a call from the airport. This female dog was left over there tied up on the bars. Today she stopped by the veterinarian to do the heart-worm test (which was negative!) and she also became the vaccinations and microchip. She is about 1 years old, very good and loving and we called her NATI! On the picture she looks quiet big, but she only is about 45 to 50 cm high. Letzte Woche kam wieder einmal ein Anruf vom Flughafen, eine Hündin war an den Zaun gebunden! Heute war sie beim Tierarzt, Filarias negativ und nun ist sie geimpft und gechipt. Ca 1 Jahr alt und heisst NATI, auch wenn sie auf dem Photo gross aussieht, ist sie nur ca. 45 - 50 cm hoch.


Este mañana pasaran Peter y Pan por el veterinario para recibir la primera vacuna. Estan mucho mejor y su mama de acogida no los deja ningun momento solos...ni hablando por telefono!
Bari paso la semana pasada por el tratamiento de la Filarias. Estaba en principio bastante malito... pero ahora esta pasando unos navidades de maravillas en una casa de acogida.
This morning Peter & Pan stopped by the veterinarian as well to receive their first vaccinations. The are a lot better and their foster mammy doesn`t leave them alone for one moment..... not even when she is on the phone! Bari became his heart-worm treatment last week. In the beginning he was really sick...... but now he is passing a marvellous x-mas in a foster home.
Heute morgen waren Peter und Pan zur ersten Impfung, es geht Ihnen viel besser bei ihrer Pflegemama, welche sie nicht einmal aus den Augen verliert beim telefonieren.
Bari hatte letzte Woche seine Herzwurmbehandlung, anfangs war er sehr krank.....aber jetzt hat er wunderschöne Weihnachtstage in einer Pflegestelle verbracht.














ALASKA paso hoy por la guarderia para ver a sus hermanos OREGON y OTTO que no han tenido la misma suerte como ella de estar adoptada ya.
Ella esta ya mucho mas tranquila y vino para pedirnos si era possible de llevar a Otto un par de dias con ella a su casa! Otto esta todavia un poco miedoso a todo que es nuevo, asi tambien para subir en el coche... pero con la ayuda de Alaska seguro que lo va a pasar unos dias muy bien!
ALASKA came today to the shelter to visit her brothers OREGON and OTTO who didn`t had the same luck as her to be adopted now. She is now a lot more quiet and she came today to ask if it was possible to take Otto a few days home! Otto is still a little bit afraid for everything what is new, so also to get into the car.... but with the help from Alaska for sure he is gone have a few marvellous days!
Alaska kam auf Besuch, ihre Brüder Otto und Oregon hatten leider noch kein Glück, so das sie Otto ein paar Tage mit nach Hause genommen haben, da Alaska nun auch viel ruhiger geworden ist. Viel Spass die Tage.

GUARDERIA NAVIDAD 2010

Choco paso por la guarderia para desearnos un Feliz Navidad. Esta enorme y precioso. Sus dueños hacen mucho deporte con el y de este pequeño, dejado en su dia en la puerta de la guarderia con sus hermanos, no se nota mas que estuve juntos con sus hermanos ingresado en la clinica cuando se pusieron muy malitos.
Choco past by the shelter to wish us a Merry X-Mas. He is enormous and precious. His owners do a lot of sport with him and since they left him one day at the door of the shelter with his brothers and sisters, you can`t tell that they all together were at the veterinarian clinic when they got very sick.
Choco kam auf einen Weihnachtsbesuch, er ist riesig und sehr hübsch, und er treibt viel Sport mit seinen neuen Papas. Damals wurde er und seine Brüder vor unsere Tür gesetzt und war sehr krank so das sie alle in der Tierklinik eingewiesen waren.

Los pequeños de Debby ya tienen 5 semanas y todos estan muy hambrientes!
The small ones of Debby are already 5 weeks old and are very hungry!
Die Welpen von Debbi sind nun 5 Wochen und sehr hungrig.

El dia de NAVIDAD tuve mucho suerte MILI y ella seguro no se olvidara nunca mas este dia! Brigitta y Sonke vinieron para llevarsela a CASA! MILI ahora se llamara ERNA y sera la niña mimosa de sus Papas! FELICIDADES pequeña, tu paso por la guarderia fue corta pero robastes el corazon a todos!
The X-Mas day was a very happy day for MILI and for sure she will never forget this day! Brigitte and Sonke came today to take her HOME! MILI now is called ERNA and will be the darling girl of her parents! CONGRATULATIONS little girl, you stay at the shelter was very short but you stole the heart of everyone.

Der Weihnachtstag war speziell und unvergesslich für MILI: Brigitte und Sonke kamen um sie zu adoptieren. Jetzt heisst sie ERNA und wird das verwöhnte Mädchen ihrer neuen Papas sein. Herzlichen Glückwunsch Kleine, Du warst zwar nicht lange hier, aber genug um uns das Herz zu rauben.

CAPO vino un "poco" descuidado de la perrera de Santa Brigida y nuestra peluquera canina Michèle, con la ayuda de Lieke trabajaron muchoas horas para dejarlo otra vez de lo mas guapo!
CAPO came in "a little bit" uncared of from the dog-pound of Santa Brigida and our dog-groomer Michèle, with the help of Lieke worked a lot of hours to leave him as pretty a possible!

CAPO kam "etwas vernachlässigt" aus der Herberge von Santa Brigida und Michelle hatte mit Like stundenlang genug Arbeit um ihn so hübsch zu machen..

Es un perro muy noble y cariñoso y con mucho pacienco se dejo cortar sus pelos y el baño!
He is a very noble and loving dog and with a lot of patience he let them cut his hair and gave him a bath.

Er ist sehr nobel und verschmust, mit viel Gedult hielt er die Prozedur und anschliessendes Bad durch.

FELICITACIONES DE MIRNA Y FAMILIA

Hace unos meses fuimos a visitarla a su casa, y la encontramos muy bien, muy feliz y muy bien acompañada por una serie de compañeros perrunos y gatunos con los que se llevaba muy bien.

A few months ago we went to visit her in her home, and we found her in real good state, very happy and well companied with lots of other dogs and cats with which she goes along very well. You only have to take a look at the pictures!!!

Vor ein paar Monaten haben wir sie zu hause besucht, es geht ihr sehr gut, zusammen mit ihren Hunden und Katzen Freunden, man sehe nur die Photos.

Los animales domésticos estarán un poco más protegidos

A partir del 22 de diciembre, los animales domésticos estarán más protegidos!!!El maltrato animal será castigado con penas de cárcel.
Se suprime la palabra “ensañamiento” y se amplía el tipo penal: será posible aplicar una condena de entre tres meses y un año de prisión.
Maltratar a un animal doméstico en nuestro país hasta ahora salía muy barato. Cada Comunidad Autónoma tiene una normativa diferente.

As of the 22th of December 2010 pets will be better protected!!!! Animal abuse can be punished by imprisonment. Deletes the term "cruelty" and expands the crime: it will be possible to apply a sentence of between three months and one year in prison. Mistreating a pet in our country so far was very cheap. Ab dem 22. 12.2010 werden Tierquälerein in Spanien härter bestraft.

Wer sein Tier tötet, misshandelt, aussetzt oder im Krankheitsfall nicht die nötige Behandlung zukommen lässt, kann nun abgesehen von Geldstrafen auch mit 3 Monaten bis zu einem Jahr Haft belangt werden. Bis jetzt sind die Tierquäler leider immer sehr billig weggekommen, wenn sie überhaupt belangt wurden.

Das ist leider nicht genug, aber immerhin ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung.

Wir werden sehen, ob und wie die Provinz Las Palmas, die Gesetzesänderung umsetzt.

DIA DE GUARDERIA CON DONACIÓN Y ADOPCIÓN

POLITO YA ESTA EN SU NUEVA CASA!Hoy volvio Carlos para hacerse la adopción y llevarse a el. Su nombre a partir de ahora es ANGUS. Pues felicidades Angus y Carlos, muchas gracias para adoptar a este pequeño muchacho!
POLITO IS ALREADY IN HIS NEW HOME!! Today Carlos came back to make the adoption and to take him home. His name from now on is ANGUS. Congratulations Angus and Carlos, thank you very much for adopting this little boy!
POLITO ist nun in seinem neuem Zuhause! Heute kam Carlos und formalisierte die Adoption, von jetzt ab heisst er ANGUS. Nun dann, Herzlichen Glückwunsch, ANGUS und CARLOS, und Danke diesen kleinen Burschen adoptiert zu haben.

Anna vino hoy con unos amigos a la guarderia. Ellos todavia estan pensando de adoptar un perro pero quieren pensarselo muy bien! Pero nos dejaron una donación de 100€! Gracias Brigitte y Hajo , pero tambien nos vino hoy una nueva voluntaria y tambien ella nos dejo donaciones en pienso y manta! Tambien a ti muchisimas gracias! Un amigo de Petra tambien nos trajo hoy una donación de 100 € de parte de un amigo y tambien a el, Chris, muchisimas gracias!!!!!!!!
Anna came today with some friends to the shelter. They are thinking of adopting a dog, but they have to think about it very seriously! But they left us a donation of 100€! Thank you Brigitte and Hajo. Also today a new volunteer came and she as well brought us donations of food and blankets! Thanks to you as well! A friend of Petra brought us also today a donation of 100€ from a friend and as well to him, Chris, thank you very much!!!!!!

Anna kam heute mit Freunden zum Tierheim, sie überlegen sich einen Hund zu adoptieren, möchten sich das aber gründlich überlegen, sie haben 100€ gespendet. Danke Brigitte und Hajo. Heute kam auch eine neue Helferin, mit Hundefutter und Decken. Auch Dir vielen Dank. EIn Freund Petra's brachte heute in seinem und eines Freundes Namen eine weitere Spende von 100€, Chris, vielen Dank.

Presentamos a CAPO, es el mismo perro que esta en nuestras adopciones de perros de la perrera de Santa Brigida! Esta bastante cambiado de "look" con todos estos pelos. CAPO esta reservado/adoptado en Alemania y dentro`poco tiempo puede irse a su nueva familia! El jueves nuestra peluquera y voluntaria Michèle lo va a dar un corte de pelo para que puede irse un poco mas guapo!
We present to you CAPO, this is the same dog who is in our adoptions from the dog-pound of Santa Brigida! He completely changed his "look" with all this hair. CAPO is reserved/adopted in Germany and soon he will leave to his new family! On Thursday our dog-groomer and volunteer Michèle will give him a new style so he can leave more pretty to his new family!

Hier stellen wir Capo vor, der gleiche Hund von Santa Brigida, mit diesem Fell sieht er ganz anders aus - am Donnerstag kommt unsere "Friseuse" und Helferin Michelle und macht sich an die Arbeit, denn Capo ist schon in Deutschland adoptiert und soll natürlich hübsch dort ankommen.

Y mientras nuestra compañera paso por le perrera de Santa Brigida para recoger a Capo y hacer nuevas fotos, vi en un rinconcito a este dos enanos, casi muertas por el frio y el agua. Ella no pudo salir de ahi sin llevarse a estos dos perritos. Estan todavia malitos, su cuerpecitos llenos de heridas y costras y ademas toleran muy mal la comida. Ahora estan calentitos en una casa de acogida para recuperarse un poco y cuando estan bien de todo lo vamos a vacunar y buscar tambien para ellos una familia.
While our volunteer went to the dog-pound of Santa Brigida to pick up Capo and to make some new pictures, she saw in a small corner those two dwarfs, almost dead because of the cold and the rain. She could not leave without taking those puppy`s. They are still sick, their body`s full of wounds and also they do not adapt the food very well. Now they are warm in a foster home to recover a little bit and when they are completely fine we will vaccinate them and search for a family for them.

Und während unsere Helferin in Santa Brigida war um Capo abzuholen und ein paar Fotos zu machen, sah sie in einer Ecke diese 2 Zwerge, halbtot vor Kälte und klatschnass. Sie konnte nicht gehen und sie dort lassen. Sie sind immer noch krank, die ganzen Körperchen voller Wunden und vertragen auch das Futter nicht. Jetzt sind sie erst einmal warm und sauber in einer Pflegestelle, und wenn sie wieder gesund sind und geimpft, werden wir auch für sie ein neues Heim finden.

Al final de la mañana hubo tiempo de tomar un cafe con todo las visitas, tambien pasaron familia de Danny y Michèle y nos trajeron unos deliciosas galletas desde Suecia.
At the end of the morning there was time to take some coffee with all the visitors, as well the family of Danny and Michèle came by and they brought us some delicious cakes from Sweden.

Am Ende des Morgens war dann Zeit für einen Kaffee mit den Besuchern, die Familie von Danny brachte uns sehr leckere Teilchen aus Schweden.
