Como la gran mayoría sabe, al Centro Veterinario ARAUNA del Tablero, llevaron un bulldog frances en un estado lamentable. La Sra. Nicole, vecina de la zona, fué la que rescató este animalito. Ella cuenta que caminando por el barranco de Fataga sus perros olfatearon a lo lejos algo raro, se acercaron y encontraron al bulldog frances en una bolsa de plástico, junto con un gatito que ya estaba muerto. El bulldog estaba brutalmente maltratado y practicamente enterrado vivo, y sobre la bolsa había piedras.
As the most people know, the Veterinarian Centre ARAUNA in El Tablero, are having a French Bulldog in lamentable state. Mrs. Nicole, neighbour of the area, was the one who rescued this animal. She told us that when she was walking in the barranco of Fataga, her dogs smelt from far away something strange, they get close and found a French Bulldog inside a plastic bad, together with a kitten, which was already dead. The bulldog was brutally treated and practically buried alive, and on top of the plastic bag they put on rocks. Se le ha puesto el nombre de ARES, es un macho, de 2 a 3 años aproximadamente. Llegó en estado de caquexia, con los ojos literalmente destrozados y con el oido derecho reventado, con claros signos de haber sido apaleado. Para que se den una idea pesaba 8 k. y eso en un buldog frances no es normal.

El viernes fué operado de sus ojos, lamentablemente ha quedado ciego, no pudieron salvar ninguno de sus ojitos, se los han extirpado. Desde aquí agradecer a las oftalmologas Mónica de León e Inmaculada Morales, y tambien a Patricia de la Clinica Veterinaria Atlántico, quienes muy amablemente se ofrecieron a echarle una mano a este angelito. La audición del oido derecho tambien la ha perdido.

The hearing of the right ear he lost as well. El gran avance que hemos tenido esta semana es que ha empezado a confiar en los seres humanos nuevamente. Nos dicen del Centro Veterinario que cuando llegó, no se le podía ni acariciar pues chillaba de miedo, pero ahora se deja acariciar y nos ha llenado de alegría ver estos logros, que son pequeños y grandes a la vez.
The big progress we`ve noticed this week is that he is starting to get trust again in the humans. The Veterinarian Centre told us that when he came in, you could not touch him and he was screaming of fear, but now they can touch him and it is making us full of happiness those progresses, big or small.
