LOBO y TIGRE en su paseo de hoy.

Tambien Tigre lleva una semana con nosotros, sin los malos tratos de su anterior dueño, y su caracter ha cambiado completamente. Ya no es el perro temeroso que llegó hace unos dias, ya se le ve contento y seguro.

As well Tigre is now one week with us, without bad treatments from his antique owner, and his character has changed completely. He is no longer the fearful dog who came in a while ago, you can see he is happy and feeling secure now.

Auch TIGRE ist jetzt eine Woche bei uns. Ohne die Misshandlungen seines vorherigen Besitzers hat er sich total verändert. Er ist nicht mehr der verängstigte Hund, der zu uns kam, sondern ist jetzt fröhlich und fühlt sich sicher.

Además hoy vino a visitarlo su salvadora (que nos trajo bolsas de hielo para el agua de todos los perros) y le dió otro buen paseo.
Also his saver came today to visit him (she brought us bags with ice-cubes for the water for all the dogs) and gave him a good walk.
Auch seine Retterin kam heute zu uns, um ihn zu besuchen (sie brachte uns Beutel mit Eiswürfeln für das Trinkwasser aller Hunde mit) und verwöhnte ihn mit einem langen Spaziergang.

Doris y Frank van a ser padrinos de vuelo cuando regresen de sus vacaciones, pero hoy han venido para traer a LELA una buena pelota de regalo y golosinas para todos.
Doris and Frank are going to be flight attendants when they go back home, but today they came to give LELA a new ball and treats for all the dogs.

Doris und Frank werden auf ihrem Heimflug Flugpaten sein, aber heute kamen sie mit einem neuen Ball für LELA und Leckerchen für alle Hunde.

FRESA ya está con nosotros.

Esta perrita chiguagua fue entregada por su antiguo dueño en la perrera de Santa Brigida junto con un macho chiguagua y la hija de ambos. Durante años la utilizaron para criar. El macho y la hija fueron adoptados en la perrera y se quedó ella solita. Nos dió mucha pena y la fuimos a buscar y ahora está en acogida en la casa de una voluntaria de Anahi.

Hoy la llevamos al veterinario, y.........es filaria positivo.

Pero la vamos a curar y a cuidarla mucho para que se ponga bien pronto.
FRESA is now with us.
This female chihuahua was left by her antique owner at the dog-pound of Santa Brigida together with a male chihuahua and the daughter of them. For years they used them for breeding. The male and the daughter got adopted directly from the dog-pound and she was lonely left behind. We felt sad for her and we went to pick her up and now she is in fostering with one volunteer of Anahi.
Today we took her to the veterinarian and........ she is heart-worm positive.
But we are going to cure her and taking very good care of her so she will be better soon.
FRESA ist jetzt bei uns.
Diese Chihuahuahündin wurde von ihrem vorherigen Besitzer zusammen einem Chihuahuarüden und deren Tochter im Tierheim von Santa Brigida abgegeben, nachdem sie jahrelang zur Zucht benutzt wurden. Der Rüde und die Tochter wurden direkt vom Tierheim weg adoptiert, nur sie blieb alleine zurück. Sie tat uns leid und so holten wir sie ab und sie ist jetzt bei einer Freiwilligen ANAHIs in Pflege.
Heute brachten wir sie zum Tierarzt und…… sie ist Herzwurm positiv.
Aber wir werden sie heilen und uns intensiv um sie kümmern, damit sie bald wieder gesund ist.

Hoy MELENAS entró en nuestro albergue. El estaba en la calle y Carol lo alimentaba y cuidaba como podía, pero con todos los peligros que puede tener un perro que está en la calle.

Melenas tiene un precioso pelo largo, pero lo han llevado a la peluqueria y ahora está mas fresquito.

Ahora Melenas ya está seguro en nuestro albergue, y como es muy bueno seguro que pronto encontrará una familia.
Today MELENAS came to our shelter. He was living on the street and Carol was giving him food and taking care of him as much as she could, but a dog living on the street is dangerous.
Melenas has beautiful long hair, but they took her to the hairdressers and now she is having more fresh with this hot weather.
Now Melenas is safe with us at our shelter, and because he is a very good dog, we are sure that soon he will find a family.
Heute kam MELENAS in unser Heim. Er lebte auf der Strasse und Carol fütterte ihn un kümmerte sich um ihn so gut sie konnte, aber das Leben auf der Strasse ist für einen Hund gefährlich.
MELENAS hat schönes langes Fell, aber unsere Hundefrisörin hat ihn geschoren, damit er es bei dem heißen Wetter kühler hat.
Jetzt lebt MELENAS sicher in unserem Heim und weil er ein sehr lieber Hund ist, sind wir sicher, dass er bald eine Familie finden wird.

Tambien ha entrado en nuestro albergue MANDY.

Es una preciosa perrita bodeguero andaluz, muy joven y buena.

Sus dueños se cansaron de ella, no podemos entenderlo, porque es encantadora.
Also new in our shelter is MANDY.
She is a beautiful bodeguero andaluz dog, very young and good.
Her owners got tired of her, which we don`t understand, because she is lovely dog.
MANDY ist ebenfalls neu in unserem Heim.
Sie ist eine hübsche Bodeguero Andaluz Hündin, sehr jung und lieb.
Ihre Besitzer wurden ihrer überdrüssig, was wir nicht verstehen können, denn sie ist ein sehr liebenswerter Hund.

Se parece mucho a nuestro Lucas. Ahora comparten habitación y parecen hermanos.
She is very look alike to our Lucas. Now they are sharing a room and they look like brother/sister.
Sie sieht unserem LUCAS sehr ähnlich. Jetzt teilen sie sich einen Zwinger und sehen wie Geschwister aus.

Este semana tenia su cumpleaños nuestra BIRGIT, hoy nos trajo tarta y con tanto calor no tuvimos el cafe pero refrescos! FELICIDADES Birgit y que cumples mucho mas!
This week our BIRGIT had her birthday, so she brought cake and with the hot weather we had no coffee but refreshing soft-drinks! CONGRATULATIONS Birgit and that you celebrate a lot more!
Diese Woche hatte unsere Birgit Geburtstag und brachte uns heute Torten mit. Wegen der grossen Hitze verzichteten wir auf den Kaffee und tranken stattdessen lieber etwas Kaltes. GLÜCKWUNSCH Birgit, mögen noch viele folgen!

As well the wooden houses are coming close for using with the help from all. Although the hot weather this week didn`t let us work so much!
Auch die Häuschen nähern sich dank der Hilfe aller der Fertigstellung. Wegen der Hitze diese Woche haben wir nicht ganz so viel geschafft!


Hoy tambien tuvimos visitas, aqui en la foto la fam. Niederwald. Ellos se ofrecieron como padrinos de vuelo, pero no podemos usar su vuelo por ser un destino donde no tenemos contactos. Ellos nos dejaron una donación de 100 €. GRACIAS!
Also we had some visits, here in the picture the Niederwald family. They offered their selves as flight attendants, but we can not use because to their destination we have no contacts. They left us a donation of 100€. THANK YOU!
Heute hatten wir auch Besuch, auf diesem Foto Familie Niederwald. Sie boten uns ihre Hilfe als Flugpaten an, was wir leider nicht ausnutzen können, da wir an ihrem Zielort keine Kontakte haben. Wir erhielten von ihnen eine Spende von 100€. DANKE!
Tambien recibimos de Anne Reichelt una donación de 50€! Y vinieron mas visitas. Es una pareja que tambien el año pasado llevaron perros en su vuelo.Volveran la prox. semana y ellos ofrecieron de pagar los gastos del vuelo de los perros!
As well from Anne Reichelt we received a donation of 50€! And more visit came. A couple who also took dogs on their flight last year. They will come back next week and they offered to pay for the flights of some dogs!
Auch von Anne Reichelt erhielten wir eine Spende von 50€! Und sie besucht uns häufiger. Es ist ein Paar, das im vergangenen Jahr schon einige Hunde auf ihren Flügen mitgenommen hat. Sie fliegt kommende Woche zurück und bot an, Kosten für die Flüge der Hunde zu übernehmen!

NUESTROS PERROS - OUR DOGS - UNSERE HUNDE

CHISPI paso hoy por el Veterinario para su revisión y quitarse los puntos. Nos enseño como ayudar a Chispi de usar otravez este patita. Tambien hicimos una peq. video para mandarselo a su nuevo familia en cual el veterinario explica muy bien la rehabilitacion que necesita y ademas ir a nadar. Chispi ya esta listo para su viaje el proxima fin de semana.
CHISPI went to the veterinarian today for a revision and to take out the stitches. They showed us how we can help Chispi to use his leg again. As well we made a small video to send to his new family, where the veterinarian is explaining the rehabilitation he needs and that he has to go swimming. Chispi is now ready to travel the next weekend.
CHISPI war heute zur Nachuntersuchung und Fäden ziehen beim Tierarzt. Wir bringen ihm bei, sein Bein wieder zu benutzen. Auch schicken wir ein kleines Video an seine neue Familie, auf dem der Tierarzt sehr gut die notwendigen Rehabilitations- Maßnahmen erklärt, und auch schwimmen zu gehen. CHISPI ist jetzt für seinen Flug am Wochenende bereit.

Por los dias de calor llegamos este mañana a las 07.30 horas de la mañana para que todos los perros tenia su jaula limpito pronto y su paseo por el campo y el agua.
PINTI todavia de vez en cuando un poco timida...pero es una perra muy cariñosa y buena.
Because of the hot weather we arrived this morning at 07:30 am so the dogs had their cage clean again and they all went out for their walk early in the morning.
PINTI is still sometimes a little bit shy..... but she is a very good and sweet dog.
An den heißen Tagen kamen wir bereits um 7.30 Uhr morgens, damit alle schnell ihre Zwinger sauber hatten und früh laufen und ans Wasser konnten.
PINTI ist manchmal noch etwas schüchtern… aber sie ist anhänglich und lieb.
Tambien vino NICK que esta en acogida. Nos cuentan que aunque intentando que tenia que dormir en su cuna...fue una lucha casi toda la noche!
As well NICK came today who is in fostering. They told us that although they were trying to let him sleep in his bed...... this was a battle almost all night long!
Auch NICK ist in einer Pflegestelle. Sie erzählten uns, dass obwohl er in seinem Bettchen schlafen musste…… es fast die ganze Nacht ein Kampf war!

VISITA Y DONACION - VISITS AND DONATION - BESUCH UND SPENDE

El miercoles ha pasado por la guardería la familia Nuecken / Linke que han adoptado a dos de nuestras perritas.
La primera fué KITI, y ahora han venido a recoger a NIÑA que tenian reservada.

Tambien nos han entregado un donativo de parte de la Sra. Gramatke por importe de 250 €.
La Sra. Gramatke, aunque no nos ha vistado en Gran Canaria, hace colectas a favor de nuestros perros en la universidad de Bonn.

Queremos dar las gracias a la familia Nuecken/Linke por adoptar nuestras perritas y a la Sra. Gramatke por ayudarnos en la distancia.
On wednesday the Nuecken/Linke family stopped by at the shelter who adopted 2 of our dogs.
The first one was KITI, and now they came to pick up NIÑA who they got reserved.
As well they gave us a donation of 250€ from Mrs. Gramatke. Although Mrs. Gramatke never came to visit us in Gran Canaria, she collects money for our dogs at the university in Bonn.
We want the thank the Nuecken/Linke family for adopting our dogs and Mrs. Gramatke for helping us from a long distance.
Am Mittwoch kam Familie Nuecken/Linke zu Besuch, die bereits 2 unserer Hunde adoptierten, in unser Heim. Der erste war KITTI und nun kamen sie, um die reservierte NIÑA abzuholen.
Außerdem überreichten sie uns eine Spende über 250€ von Frau Gramatke. Auch wenn Frau Gramatke uns noch nie auf Gran Canaria besucht hat, sammelt sie an der Universität in Bonn Spenden für unsere Hunde.
Wir danken der Familie Nuecken/Linke für die Adoption unserer Hunde und Frau Gramatke für die Hilfe über die weite Entfernung!
