MARTES 08.04.2008

Con el tiempo del sur hemos tenido un dia nublado con un poquito de lluvia tambien este mañana!Mañana viajaran Dixi y Princessa a su nuevo familia. Los 2 viajaran a Munich . Princessa despues sigue su viaje a Austria y Dixi se queda cerca de Munich. Los adoptantes de Princessa ya llegaron hoy en Munich y estan en un hotel para no llegar tarde mañana al aeropuerto donde los perros llegan a las 17.00 horas!Tambien Dixi vino hoy para despedirse de nosotros, pero ella solo tenia ojo para la comida.los demas fotos estan en el album como siempre.

Today we had a cloudy day and also some rain, the bad time we have here in the souht, while Las Palmas was lovely with a lot of sun. Tomorrow Duxi and Princessa will fly to their new family. Dixi will stay close to Munchen and Princessa will go in further with her new family to Austria, These people are already in germany for not being to late on the airport tomorrow and staying there in a hotel.

Pilar y Laura vinieron hoy para dejar ver a Meli y Nara! Estan preciosas y nos cuenta que son muy cariñosas los dos.Pilar and Laura came today to show us Meli and Nara who are looking very well! Also she told us that both of thenm are very sweet and nice ladies.

ELIOT

SIMBA - ELIOT - DINA

Eliot fui dado en adopcion cuando era un cachorro. Pero ahi la gente tenia poco tiempo para el y asi Michèle y Danny se ofrecieron de cogerlo en acogida..........

Ellos siempre tenia 3 perros asi no tenian ni un problema de coger a Eliot. El tercer perro de ellos "DON" murio demasiado joven a un problema en el corazon. Ahora se han decidido entre ellos dos y Simba y Dina que Eliot puede quedarse para siempre con ellos!De Simba es un gran amigo y Dina lo encanta de molestarlo de vez en cuando.

Eliot was adopted when he only was a puppy. The people did not had much time for him , so Danny and Michèle took him with them to foster him.They were used for having 3 dogs. Their 3rd dog "DON" died to young due to hart problems and now they decided together wirh Simba and Dina that Eliot can stay with them for ever!Eliot is big friends with Simba and Dina likes it to butter him so now and then.

LEO -BUSCO UN HOGAR

Éste es Leo , vagaba por un barrio de Telde , nuestra compañera Esther lo veia cada dia , cada noche , no paraba de llorar, es muy manso y solo buscaba alguien que lo acariciase. Estuvo dos semanas dandole de comer, al igual que mas vecinos pero nadie se hacia cargo de él.
El sabado pasado Esther no aguanto mas sus lamentos bajo su ventana ( como que la llamaba) y lo recogió. Ha pasado ya por todos sus test ( negativos) esta castrado y listo para buscar un hogar. Tiene un año , muy cariñoso , si estas dispuesto a darle una segunda oportunidad , llamanos. This is Leo, he was living on the street and was already for 2 weeks under the window of our volunteer Esther. He was crying all the time calling her atention. So se started to feed him. After a couple of days she could not see it any longer for leaving him on the street. He is already tested (neg) and has been castrated. He is very kind and also not afraid of dogs. We are looking for a new home for him.

LA MAMA DE LOS CACHORROS

Y como ayer fueron sus cachorros presentados en sociedad, hoy ponemos a su madre, como veis esta mucho mejor, nuestra compañera Adelia la tiene en casa y no le faltan sus cuidados , y sus paseos todos los días. Nos estamos planteando bajarla a la guarderia , pues no se le ha quitado nada el miedo a los humanos, no confia, no tuvo una vida facil sin duda. Por ello pensamos que con nosotros empezara a confiar un poco mas.This is the mother of the puppies. She is much better now and still lives with Adelia. While she is very afraid we are thinking to bring her to the kennel, were she will se more people and maybe we have more the possibility there for her to help her of her fear to human beings.

Dia de guarderia sabado 05.04.2008

Hoy como todos los fin de semanas tuvimos muchos voluntarios, visitas, donaciones ........ y un dia otravez algo mas bonito y sin calima!
Today it was again a very busy day, a lot of volunteers, visistors, donations .... and a lovely day without calima!

Aqui algunos fotos de hoy, los demas estan en el album de abril. Javier nuestra ayuda de un par de semanas vuelve otravez a Barcelona pero cuando viene en Junio nos va a ayudar otravez, gracias Javier!

Here some pictures from today and the rest can be seen in our album of april. Javier came for the last time today because he will go back again to Barcelona , but he promised that when he will come to Gran canaria in June he will come to help us again. Thanks Javier.

Sabado dia 5 de abril/ cachorros

foto 1 hasta 7: Zoe - Panga .- Queeny - Senna - King - Lena - Nilo ! La diferencia entre Zoe- 1,6 kilos y Senna 4,1 kilos!!!

Ustedes se acuerdan de los 7 bebes???? Bueno ya han pasado los primeros semanas y todo estan mas que bien! La mama se recupera poco a poco de su herida y operacion.Hoy los ninos recibieron su primera vacuna y nos alegra mucho de presentarlos hoy. Todos estan ya reservados... asi esperemos que pueden dejar el nido dentro de poco.You remeber the 7 puppies???We are now some weeks later and they are doing very well. Their mother is getting better little by little after her operation.Today we would like to present them and today they received as well their first vaccination. All of them are reservated , so we hope when everything will go like now that they can leave in little time.

Nueva entradas dia 05.04.08

Max es un chico de unos 10 meses. Fui encontrado por Telde. Max es muy bueno y tiene una familia que tiene mucho interes para adoptarlo. Como acabo de entrar en Anahi lo hemos reservado para ellos. Solo tienen que esperar un poco para que nosotros lo podemos terminar de poner todo sus vacunas y conocerlo un poquito mas.Max is a young boy from about 10 months.He was founded on the streets of Telde. He already has a family who would like to adopt him, but while he just came in and still needs some more vaccinations. We also want to know him a little more before he can go to his new home but we already made a reservation for him.

Rebeca viene del mismo terreno donde hemos cogido a Meli y Nara. La pobre tenia cientos de garrapatas en las orejas y hasta hoy esta llena de costras. Ella fui rapido esterilizada para que no necesita de tener mas crias. es muy joven, casi 1 año y muy buena.Rebeca is coming from the same place where we took Meli and Nara. She is still very young, about 10 months and already had a puppy(that had disappeared when we went again to take her with his) She was taken to sterelize her and entered today in the kennel.

Este machito se llama Kevin, tiene mas o menos 3 años. Kevin fui la causa de un gran accidente en la autopista a la altura de Ikea hace unos 2 semanas.La Policia avisaron a Adelia y Kevin fui llevado urgentemente a la facultad. Ahi lo han operado y hoy ya nos hemos bajado a la guarderia.This small boy we called Kevin. He caused a big accident on the highway, close to Ikea. The police called Adelia and she brought him urgently to the uniclinic. There he was operated and this morning he entered in the kennel.

************* Sultan esta algo mejor, dejo de sangrar tanto y tenemos esperanza que se mejora dentro de poco.
Sultan geht es etwas besser, aber er hat viel Blut verloren und sein Abwehrkräfte sind sehr schwach. Wir hoffen, dass es ihm bald besser geht.
Sultan is getting a litlle better, he is not bleeding so much anymore and we have the hope that he will be better soon*****************************************************

Günther vino par darnos una sopresa! Trajo a Prince y a Tara! Los dos estan de maravilla y dentro de poco lo vamos a castrar los dos! Günthe gave us a big soprise today when he visited us to show Prince and Tara. Both are doing very well and will be castrated very soon!

Monika esta aqui de vacaciones y siempre cuando viene a Gran Canaria pasa sus dias de guarderia con nosotros. Ella esta en el jardin jugando con Lea, Shila y Pumba, apadrinado por ella!
Monika is here on holiday and always when she is here she visit us during the days we are in the kennel. here she is playing in the garden with Lea, Shila and Pumba, who has been fostered by her.

Aqui tenemos a Guarapo despues de su paseo este mañana con Ann, Esta bastante bien pero de vez en cuando su patas no pueden con su peso. Pero se nota que Guarapo esta feliz con todo la atencion que lo damos.

Here we have Guarapo after his walk with Ann. He is very well doing although his legs can not always keep him standing.But we notice that he is very happy with us and all the atencion we give to him.

SULTAN

Sultan esta bastante mal....Poniendo su chip ayer , el peq. agujero no dejo de sangrar y asi estuve Sultan todo el dia en la Clinica en Arguineguin.Lo hicieron una analitica y resulta que Sultan tiene las plaquetas muy baja. Su sangre no coagula y no sabemos el porque. Puede ser que tiene un enfermedad que se transmite por Garrapatas, puede ser que esta evenenado.Por la tarde lo llevamos a casa ,pero como no hubo mejoria lo ingresamos a Sultan en la Facultad veterinaria de Las Palmas.Hoy ya hemos llamada a la clinica a las 7 de la mañana pero Sultan sigue igual.Cambiaron el vendaje, lo pusieron su medicacion pero hasta ahora no hay mejoria.
Sultan geht es sehr schlecht. Gestern wurde er gechipt, wie üblich mit einer kleinen Nadel. Doch dann fing er an zu bluten und das Blut wollte einfach nicht aufhören zu fließen, alle waren ratlos und so musste Sultan in der Tierklinik
in Arguineguin bleiben. Dort wurden einige Bluttests gemacht, mit dem Resultat: zu wenige Blutkörperchen und fehlende Abwehrstoffe. Es wurde vermutet, dass Sultan vergiftet wurde, sei es durch Menschen oder durch Gift übertragen durch Zecken.Vorsichtshalber brachten wir Sultan in die Tierklinik nach Las Palmas, wo er erstmal mehrere Tage beobachtet wurde.

Sultan is not in a very good condition at the moment.After given him yesterday his microchip he started to bleed.There is a possibility that he can have erlichea, other possibility is that he has been poisened.....After bleeding the whole day we decided to bring him to the clinic in Las Palmas. This morning at 7 we phoned them, but Sultan is still the same. He keeps on bleeding and today they will do some more test to find out what is really happening.

Dia de guarderia

Con tantos salidas hemos quedado con menos perros en la guarderia pero tambien en la casa de acogida, aunque esta bien que esperemos un poco de llenarlo otravez...... aunque no es tan facil!!

Por fin tuvimos tiempo de bañar a Fenny y Benny. A los dos lo encanta el agua asi no fui muy dificile de darlos un baño. Tambien el Sultan no tenia escape hoy y lo hemos bañado. Nos preocupe bastante el Sultan con su mirada triste y su cuerpo tan flaco.No come mucho y estamos esperando a los resultados de su test de Filarias.Menos mal que hoy volvieron Angela y Ron y ellos llevaron otravez a casa a Pedro! Pedro cada dia esta mas joven! Javier un nuevo voluntario tambien vino hoy pero no salio en las fotos. Monika otra conocida nuestra esta aqui de vacaciones y vino hechar nos una mano tambien.Igual que Malin con una amiga y Romina.
Nach vielen Abgängen, sind nun wenige Hunde im Tierheim verblieben, aber es gibt auch noch jede Menge Hunde in den Pflegestellen, die es zu vermitteln gilt.
Heute war nun auch Zeit, um Fenny & Benny zu baden. Auch Sultan konnte uns heute nicht entwischen und wurde von uns gebadet. Wir machen uns um ihn große Sorgen, denn sein trauriger Blick und sein immer dünner werdender Körper geben Anlass zur Sorge. Hinzu kommt, dass er sein Futter kaum anrührt. Nun warten wir noch auf die Ergebnisse vom Filaria Test.

After so many departures of dogs we do have less dogs in the kennel and also in the fosterhomes! But maybe it is better for a time so we can give more from our time to the other ones who are staying with us already for a long time.Today we finally had time to give a bath to Fenny and Benny.Also we gave a bath to Sultan. We are a little worried about him with his sad look in his eyes and his skin body. We are still waiting for the bloodresults of Filarias and we hope that he will be negative. Ron and Angela are back again and they took home with them to small Pedro who looks younger every day!Javier a new volunteer came to help us as well today and hope to make a picture of him on thursday. Also Malin was there with a friend and Romina.
